How To Get The Best Results From Personal Affirmations
Personal affirmations are an extremely powerful method if they are used correctly. The key to successful implementation is to integrate them into an overall plan for improving your life, using every technique which is available to you. Affirmations are not spells which you repeat a few times, and then expect success to come from out of the blue skies. They are most effective when they are used in conjunction with visualization, which reaches the subconscious using a different sense, and of course with the dedicated, consistent action which is necessary to see good and lasting results.
There are, of course, many people who are unsuccessful with the use of affirmations. There are many possible reasons for this, but one of the most common is that the affirmations are not reaching deep enough, and are not really targeting the source of the trouble. In many cases, there is an inadequate self-image, or feelings of unworthiness, which can lead to problems at a very deep level. Unless these patterns are corrected, anything which is built on top of them will be doomed to failure. That is why it is important for you to realize that you are special. Start from there and then move on to the next affirmation. You must begin by loving yourself.
It is also extremely important to include intangible goals in your personal affirmations, and they should be at the top of the list. Even if you cannot yet decide where you would like to go with the rest of your life, you can still begin to use affirmations to clear negative childhood programming. Just be sure that they are positive in nature, that they concentrate on what you wish to attract rather than what you want to get rid of, and that they are in the first person.
The hardest part of creating your personal affirmations is going to be deciding what you want in your life. It is as well to remember that anything you get in life needs to be worked for and paid for, and that the more you want, the more you are going to have to give to get it. Be absolutely sure that the goals you are setting for yourself are realistic, and that you have enough desire to make the effort which will be needed to achieve them. It is certain that there will be setbacks along the way, and you will need to have the desire to overcome them.
When you have formulated your personal affirmations, you can begin to recite them consistently, preferably at least twice a day. You can write them out on a card if that helps. You can also make use of modern software to take the message into your subconscious mind through subliminal messaging. In order to make affirmations more effective, back them up with mental images, and even mental film. Be careful in this case not to interfere with the free will of another being. Then, take action. Give yourself the best chance of achieving the goals set out in your personal affirmations.
